4 Keys In Buying a Home

Here are four key tips to assist you in being prepared to make your first offer.

Take action with your Pre-Qualification and Pre-Approval Review so you will know what you can afford and what your strategy is going to be.  In fact, take advantage of the new service called PYT- Protect Your Transaction. Understanding what your plan is prior to previewing homes and making offers will ensure that you find the right home for you and avoids wasting time and saves  you the emotional disappointment of wanting to buy a home that you cannot afford.

2. Research what area you want to live in.  Visit the community before you make an offer to buy.  Do a mock commute to see how far you are from work.  Visit your would be neighbors. See the schools, shopping centers and other neighborhood services before you start negotiating.  Ask me about what sites to research online.  Be sure it is the place you want to be.

3. What type of home do you want to buy? There are choices: single family, multi-family, townhome, condo, co-op, new construction, etc. Know the pros and cons of each.  Talk with me and learn the pros and cons of each.  Then decide what works best for you and your family.

4. Take your time.  Shopping for  your new home is a wonderful and exciting experience.  It can also be frustrating and confusing.  Give yourself time and let your team guide you.  With this guidance and assistance, your home buying experience will be much more pleasurable and rewarding.
